Who Do You Say?

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Matt 16:13-16 NKJV
*It’s not enough to know who Jesus is to others, who is He to You?
Not only do we have to know who Jesus is to get to heaven, life will ask you who Jesus is?
1. Giants. (1 Sam 17:45)
2. Mountains. (Mark 11:23)
What do you say when:
• It’s Dark?
o The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid Ps 27:1
• You feel weak?
o Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ Joel 3:10
o Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Eph 6:10
• When things look impossible?
o But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matt 19:26
o For with God nothing will be impossible. Luke 1:27
o Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. Mk 9:23
• When you don’t know how to go on?
o I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13
• When it looks like there is no money.
o And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19
o God himself will provide the lamb. Gen 22:8
• When I’m battling sickness.
o …who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Pet 2:24
o for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Phil 2:13
