Say hello to the leadership team at ROPC
Rivers of Peace is led by pastor Darren & Shelley Osburn, both of whom are strong teachers of faith with hearts for worship, the word, and the world.
They worked in a church in Nashville serving children and youth, as well as serving in the prison ministry. After fulfilling God's call for them in Nashville, they pioneered a church in Knoxville, Tennessee and served there for eight years. They came to Washington County in 2002 to start Rivers of Peace Church in Pastor Darren's hometown, and have been impacting lives in the community ever since.
Pastor Darren is a graduate of Christ For The Nations Institute, Rhema Bible College and has completed all 3 years of Mark T Barclay's Supernatural Ministries Training Institute. (SMTI) He was originally ordained through Victory Fellowship Church in Nashville, and is currently licensed and ordained through Rhema Ministerial Association International. (RMAI) He is also a member of Mark T. Barclay's Righteous Preachers Network.
Pastor Shelley graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute with Pastor Darren where they met over 30 years ago. Shelley, a native Canadian from London, Ontario also attended Rhema Bible College for one year. She also went back to school several years after having their children and attained her Management of Human Resources from Portland State University.
Darren and Shelley both have been called to minister the full gospel which is that Jesus came to give life and that we would have it more abundantly. John 10:10. They do this by teaching the uncompromised Word of God and being led by the Holy Spirit. We believe that every believer has a responsibility to serve in the church body and together we will have a great harvest in Hillsboro, Washington County, Oregon and the uttermost parts of the world!
